The Balicamp is producing the film "Poem" this summer. It is supposed to be a documentary on surfers who live their way of life away from the mainstream and enjoy a reduced but very intense surfing and traveling life. Rudi Hajek, the owner and mastermind of The Balicamp, has scouted the perfect location for "Poem".
The playground will be an almost uncharted tiny little island off Timor in the rarely traveled very East of Indonesia. Apart from surfing, the core of the Balicamp crew will be living together with the locals who still live in the stone-age - according to western standard. Their basic way of life is what they have in common with the surfers, because both live off the simplest necessities in life. Thus, the major themes of "Poem" are: traveling, sharing, pure joy, surfing, mellow vibes, and a scent of discovery - in short: following the passion.
"Poem" is rich in emotional values. Therefore, Rudi Hajek is happy to have Klem Loskot in his team. He is a world-class climber and filmer, has produced the book "Emotional Landscapes", and has shown his ability and gift to mediate the very emotional values, which are the center topic of "Poem". Klem will film, produce, and post-produce the movie. The concept of "Poem" is to attract surfers as well as non-surfers and to let everyone feel and share the spirit of easy living, traveling, surfing, and sharing vibes with indigenous cultures, all based on the change of the tides ...
